Masami has been full of laughter since he was a baby. As he has grown up he has a wide range of emotions, he laughs,
expresses sadness, and anger. At the age of 1, I felt that he had some developmental challenges. At the age of two,
he began to have seizures and we then had an EEG. Finally, after 5 years of various testing we had the diagnosis of Syngap. We were determined to find an answer as to why he was not developing similarity to his peers. Now we can
say. Masami is full of joy, cries a lot, expresses a lot of anger, and is an honest child. There are wonderful children all over the world that are
just like him. They all have Syngap1!
The Syngap Research fund is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 83-1200789) headquartered in California.
