Summer is a 10-year military veteran with the U.S. Coast Guard working in many different facets from drug interdiction and illegal immigration in Caribbean to Support Ops in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and finishing as a Recruiter for 4 years in Seattle, WA.
Summer currently resides in her husband Adam’s hometown of Missoula, Montana with their 3 sons, AJ (13), a Freestyle Team Skier and actor, Brody (10) avid lacrosse player and Ryker (8) lover of revolving doors, elevators and lights. They are business owners of ABR Insulation, LLC a Commercial & Residential Insulation Company. Summer has also managed her independent skincare company for the past 9 years helping others feel their best. She is also very active in her local special needs community co-facilitating a National Special Needs Networking Group – Missoula Circle of Parents. As a family they enjoy boating, camping, hunting and skiing.
Summer’s son, Ryker, was diagnosed with SYNGAP1 mutation January 2015. Looking for the root cause of Ryker’s global developmental delays they began their extensive search traveling to see several different doctors, rounds of genetic tests and continuous therapies of OT, PT and Speech. Ryker’s diagnosis was later confirmed when he was 4.5 years old through the whole exome sequencing (WES) genetic test granted by Shodair Children’s Genetics Hospital in Helena, Montana.
